Football

K5's football curriculum is written by former NFL quarterback Frank Reich. His expertise on the grid iron and his willingness to impact lives with the skills he has been given made Frank a no-brainer for our program. Each session focuses on a specific skill; passing, catching, rushing, defending, etc. Fun games are played to re-enforce the newly learned skill. Sessions end with a scrimmage. We teach character and self-confidence through weekly character lessons (honesty, teamwork, encouragement, etc). Each player receives a FREE T-shirt, FREE Group Photo, and a chance to win prizes at our closing ceremony!

Frank Reich is a former NFL quarterback for the Buffalo Bills (1985-1994), the Carolina Panthers (1995), the New York Jets (1996), and the Detroit Lions (1997-1998).

Reich was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the third round (57th overall) in the 1985 NFL Draft. Unfortunately for Reich, the Bills already had a franchise quarterback in future Hall of Famer Jim Kelly.

Reich's defining moment in his pro career is a comeback, this one often called the greatest comeback in NFL history in the playoffs following the 1992 season over the Houston Oilers. Reich led the Bills on a 35-3 run in the second half and overtime against the Oiler defense en route to a 41-38 victory. Reich would help the Bills defeat the Pittsburgh Steelers in the divisional round before once again giving the team back to Kelly, who led them into Super Bowl XXVII.

Reich was picked from the Bills in the 1995 expansion draft to join the Carolina Panthers. He was then signed by the New York Jets and the Detroit Lions, and retired following the 1998 NFL season. He is a devout Christian and is now a motivational speaker utilizing the great comebacks as a main keynote of his speeches.
